A Marrero father died after he was hit by a vehicle while walking in Jean Lafitte on Sunday, according to authorities.
The victim, identified as 42-year-old Chad Williams by the Jefferson Parish coroner, died from his injuries two days later at University Medical Center in New Orleans.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 3700 block of Jean Lafitte Blvd. around 10:45 p.m. Sunday and found Williams lying on the ground in the westbound lanes of the roadway, suffering from apparent crash-related injuries, JPSO spokesperson Sgt.
