New Orleans must be the world capital of parades. After Mardi Gras, the city barely has a chance to catch its breath before springtime processions hit the streets. Here’s a list of all the major parades in the area.
Considering the ever-shifting weather, never-ending road construction and other issues, the routes of parades can change right up until the last minute. For second-lines specifically, the routes can be found on WWOZ’s “Takin’ It To The Streets” page at wwoz.org as parade time approaches.
