The owners of modern Mexican restaurant Acamaya in Bywater are opening a second restaurant, Casimiro, first reported by Nola.com.
Casimiro, a Mexican breakfast joint, will open on 800 Louisa St., a three-minute walk down the street from Acamaya. The restaurant space formerly held Honduran restaurant Alma, which closed in August of last year.
Acamaya and the upcoming Casimiro are co-owned by sisters Lydia and Chef Ana Castro. Chef Castro has been nominated for multiple James Beard Awards.
