JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — A 78-year-old man died early Saturday after his truck crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle head-on in Jefferson Parish, state police said.
Louisiana State Police began investigating the crash on Louisiana Highway 18 near Avondale Garden Road shortly after 3 a.m.
Jerry Comardelle of Ama, Louisiana, was driving a 2006 Nissan Frontier east on the highway. At the same time, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was heading west. For reasons still under investigation, the Nissan crossed the centerline into the westbound lane and struck the Chevrolet head-on…
