New Orleans teen sentenced to life in prison for 2022 fatal Bourbon Street shooting

NEW ORLEANS — A New Orleans teen was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole for killing a man near Bourbon Street in 2022.

As our partners at The Times-Picayune report, Orleans Parish Criminal District Judge Nandi Campbell sentenced Maurice Brant Jr., 19, on Friday. Brant was 16 when he shot and killed Stephen Carter, 29.
