NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – An inmate who pleaded guilty in a murder plot took the witness stand Monday in the federal trial focused on staged 18-wheeler accidents in New Orleans, now in its third week.
Personal injury attorneys Vanessa Motta and Jason Giles, along with their law firms and alleged co-conspirator Diaminike Stalbert, face multiple fraud-related charges. Prosecutors accuse them of taking part in schemes involving staged 18-wheeler accidents and fraudulent lawsuits.
For more than two hours, Ryan Harris testified about personal injury attorneys and the money involved in schemes to intentionally crash cars into 18-wheelers and then pursue fraudulent lawsuits.
