NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans police arrested three people in separate homicide investigations, with the latest arrest happening early Tuesday morning.
NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force arrested Michael McBride, 18, at a home in the 8400 block of Dixon Street Tuesday morning. McBride is charged with second-degree murder in connection with a homicide by shooting that happened Nov. 12 in the 8200 block of Stroelitz Street. The shooting killed 17-year-old Eric C. Simmons III.
On Feb. 26, NOPD’s VOWS Unit and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested George Cowart, 35, on an allegation of second-degree murder. He’s charged in the death of 39-year-old Rudi Gastinell, who was shot multiple times in the 3300 block of Hamilton Street on Feb. 12…
