5 People Arrested After 14 Vehicle Burglaries Hit Kenner

Kenner police say a fast-moving wave of auto break-ins has resulted in five suspects being arrested after investigators linked them to 14 vehicle burglaries that jolted numerous communities around the city. The occurrences occurred between February 24 and February 27 and were concentrated in the University City and Susan Park neighborhoods. Officers made multiple arrests in early March after increasing patrols and pursuing information from homeowners, according to WWL-TV. Police claim they discovered evidence linking the defendants to the break-ins.

According to WWL-TV, the five arrested include both adults and adolescents, and they face various offenses. Kendell James was arrested on 11 charges of vehicle burglary and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and two 16-year-old adolescents were also charged in connection with the same occurrences.

Jorge Luis Sanchez-Flores was apprehended after officers discovered him on Loyola Boulevard and charged him with a single car burglary. Another defendant, Trey Cayette, is charged with attempted car burglary, as well as resisting arrest, simple escape, and obstruction.
