Demons take Saturday contest to level weekend series with Privateers

NATCHITOCHES, La. – The New Orleans Privateers fell behind in the third inning and could not come back in a 6-2 loss to the Northwestern State Demons on Saturday afternoon at Brown-Stroud Field.

New Orleans jumped out in front early thanks to a wild pitch from Dylan Marionneaux that scored Eli Tidwell from third. Bryson Goff faced the minimum in his half of the first thanks to a double play turned defensively by the Privateers.

Northwestern State jumped in front in the third inning though thanks to a pair of two-out RBI singles. Ethan Menard, who had the big day on offense for the Demons, drove in the first run on a base hit through the left side. Thomas Marsala followed with an RBI single that ricocheted off the glove of Goff that pushed the Demons to a 2-1 lead…
