NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to arrest a suspect in an armed robbery case that happened during a car crash on Interstate 10. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to the NOPD, the crime happened around 9:00 p.m. on January 22 near the Louisa exit. Police say a Honda Accord rear-ended an Infinity sedan. Police say the accident was intentional.
Tangipahoa Parish missing person case now a homicide
When the two cars stopped, the driver of the Infinity was approached by the driver and a passenger who were in the Honda. They proceeded to rob him at gunpoint. Each of them drove one of the cars from the scene.
Police identified one of the suspects as Damion Jones. Once he’s arrested, police say he’ll be booked with armed robbery. They say they already caught the second suspect, and he confessed…
