GRETNA, La. — Gretna police have obtained an arrest warrant for a woman after a newborn baby was found dead in a porta-potty near Waffle House early Thursday morning, Gretna police said.
Around 3:20 a.m., Lekesha Lamelle, 37, told officers she had given birth in a porta-potty near 62 Westbank Expressway. Police said Lamelle could not confirm when the birth occurred or the baby’s condition.
