National Weather Service forecasters were monitoring fog conditions on Thursday morning after a large marsh fire was spotted by Lake Pontchartrain in St. Charles Parish on Wednesday night.
The fire was visible along the Bonnet Carré Spillway on Wednesday, with large flames producing plumes of smoke drifting into the sky.
