Midday Gunfire Turns Chase Street Into Little Woods Crime Scene

Midday gunfire turned a quiet stretch of Chase Street into a homicide scene Monday, when an unidentified man was found with gunshot wounds in the 8600 block of the Little Woods neighborhood of New Orleans around 12:40 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and officers remained on the block into the afternoon as homicide detectives worked to process evidence. Police have not released the victim’s name.

According to WWLTV, officers responding to a report of gunfire discovered the man and later classified the case as a homicide. The New Orleans Police Department said it had not released additional details as detectives continued their investigation.
