Deputies in Terrebonne Parish arrested 32-year-old David Michael Blackwell of Gretna after a violent home invasion late Sunday night, March 29. A minor child called 911 from an apartment on Thomas Drive, reporting that a man had broken in and was attacking her mother.
Deputies arrived to find signs of a struggle and minor injuries to the victim. Investigators say the suspect had met the woman earlier that day through a social media dating app, then returned uninvited, broke a window, and assaulted her.
