JPSO identifies man shot by deputy during Metairie narcotics investigation

METAIRIE, La. (WVUE) – Jefferson Parish authorities have identified the man shot by a sheriff’s office detective during a narcotics investigation in Metairie as Trenton Broussard, who remained hospitalized in critical condition Wednesday.

Capt. Jason Rivarde, spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, said Broussard, of Metairie, has been booked with aggravated assault of a police officer and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Another man involved in the incident, 19-year-old Aldo Gonzales of Metairie, was arrested and booked with resisting police, battery of a police officer with injury, interfering with a law enforcement investigation, reckless operation, and aggravated obstruction of a highway…
