Audubon’s Goldring Woldenberg Park to open first major phase

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The first major phase of Audubon’s Goldring Woldenberg Park will open to the public next week, creating one of the nation’s longest continuous riverfront parks.

City leaders will join Audubon to cut the ribbon on the nearly 2.25-mile stretch of the park before it opens on April 16.

The phase spans more than six acres and costs close to $30 million to renovate. The old Governor Nicholls Street wharf has been transformed into an open green space for families…
