NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans and developers have reportedly reached an agreement to demolish the former Lindy Boggs Medical Center as soon as this summer, according to our partners at The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.
The plan would use $11.5 million in city bond funds to tear down the nearly 70-year-old building and construct a large underground stormwater retention tank to reduce flooding in the surrounding area.
