MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Two men were arrested after making threats to two northeast Louisiana lawmakers.
The District Attorney’s Office for the 4th Judicial District of Louisiana confirmed Bruce Tigani Jr., of Wilmington, Delaware, and Charles Allen, of New Orleans, were arrested earlier this month, in two separate cases.
Tigani sent State Rep. Michael Echols, who is running for Congress in Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District, several messages on June 21, 2025, via direct message on X, formerly known as Twitter, according to arrest documents.
Some of the messages law enforcement says Tigani sent Echols include:
- “Delete your account… then your life… assistance will be provided if you don’t take your own measures…k thanks bye”
- “Lol your life is over… get ready… piece by piece then all at once remember? Little pieces for the fishies”,
- “Lol fivehead f**tard…what you think will happen when we come to Louisiana… you think you’re walking away from this? Hahahahahahah game f***ing over dips***… life ending over… kiss your kids through glass windows surrounded by guards over… if you’re lucky”
- “You’re going to lose everything you ever even thought about loving… wife? Bye… kids? Bye… cushy job as a do nothing politician? Bye… we just laughed along with someone in very close proximity to US congressional power about your PBM bill… a Republican… laughing at you.”
- “If you think we’re not showing up at your crip that’s hilarious… it’s swampy down there this time of year but worth it to put a dent in that fivehead of yours. Sweetheart it’s gonna be a long long summer you hog… say goodbye to your children”.
Investigators believe Tigani’s motive comes after Echols spoke out against Medical Properties Trust LLC (MPT), the landowner of Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. Tigani has promoted MPT on social media, and his father has represented the company as a lawyer in the past, court records show…
