NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Bike N Vote initiative is all about getting people to the polls, but when rain washed out the final day of early voting, they left their bikes at home and became Bus N Vote instead.
“Our elders fought tooth and nail to make sure that we were left with a better world than the one that they had to live in,” said Nate Bryant with Bike N Vote. “So, it would behoove us to make sure that we pick up where they left off so that those that come after us don’t have to fight the same struggles as well, because the people with no vote are people with no voice.”
Together, with like-minded community groups, they packed a bus with dozens of voters and headed for the early voting location at New Orleans City Hall…
