Woman arrested as accessory to murder in killing of missing man found in Marrero backyard

Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives investigating the disappearance and death of a man whose remains were discovered buried in the backyard of a Marrero home arrested a third suspect in the case Wednesday.

Kelly Barrios, 40, of Pontchatoula, was booked on counts of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder and failure to report a felony.

She joins co-defendants John Lopez, 45, and Dustin Billot, 32, who were booked with second-degree murder, unlawful disposal of a body and obstruction of justice in the death of 37-year-old Eddie Tillman Jr.

Lopez and Billot are accused of killing Tillman sometime in 2023 and then burying part of his body in the backyard of a Marrero home in the 1200 block of Gaudet Drive, where Billot used to live, according to the Sheriff’s Office…
