Bob Dylan’s historic Harlem townhouse has been sold for an impressive $2.8 million.
The “Blowin’ in the Wind” singer, 85, owned the 19th-century Renaissance Revival-style home from 1986 until 2000, according to the Wall Street Journal. During his residency, he lived a quiet life in the Striver’s Row home.
The five-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom ground-entry abode was originally designed by Stanford White in 1893. Today, the property combines centuries-old design elements with modern 21st-century amenities.
Upon entry, guests find a “wood-paneled vestibule with pristine tilework,” according to the listing, held by Colin Montgomery of Sotheby’s International Realty. From there, a 19-foot living salon flows into a large eat-in kitchen with a powder room. Restored hardwood and “wavy-glass” cabinetry surrounds the space.
Connected to the kitchen is a fully rebuilt outdoor terrace with durable decking, integrated lighting, and ample space for outdoor entertaining.
A parlor floor spreads over 50 feet of linear space connecting a formal dining and living room. Ornate features like pocket doors, decorative fireplaces and a Juliet balcony enhance the space.
