A search for a missing New Jersey woman has ended in tragedy after her family confirmed that she was found dead several days after her disappearance.
Iyanna Asia Fairfax, 26, of Freehold, New Jersey, was reported missing after she vanished in late June, sparking a widespread search by relatives, friends, and community organizations. Her family announced that she died on June 26, according to a GoFundMe campaign created to support her loved ones.
Disappearance Prompted Extensive Search
Fairfax was last seen on the night of Friday, June 19, extending into the early hours of Saturday, near the 7-Eleven on Throckmorton Street in Freehold. According to a missing-person flyer shared by her family and advocacy groups, she was reportedly walking toward a nearby bus stop when she disappeared.
Her unexplained absence quickly raised concern among family members, who said her behavior before she vanished was highly unusual.
