You know it’s brutal when low temperatures couldn’t break below 80 and in some places mid 80s…and as of 10am it is already in the low to mid 90s. It is another day of highs reaching 100 to 105 and even the beaches will have a tough time cooling off thanks to a northwest wind. We do however have the risk for severe weather today.
Sometime between say 3pm and 10pm we will be watching radars closely for thunderstorm developement. Another upper trough approaches and the daytime heating coupled with dew points in the 70s, and a very unstable atmosphere opens the door for some strong thunderstorm activity so we will be monitoring this closely this afternoon.
