The New UNIQLO World Trade Center Store Is Opening With Special Perks
If you’re a UNIQLO fan (or a fan of free stuff), you’ll want to check out their brand-new store, opening at 185 Greenwich St. in Lower Manhattan at the World Trade Center on Thursday, September 25th.
A lot is planned for the new store opening. Doors open at 10 am, but there will be a live Japanese Taiko drum performance at 9:45 am right before opening. There are repeat performances throughout the weekend (Friday and Saturday at 9:45 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm).
Lots of Free Stuff
Every day during opening weekend, from September 25–27, UNIQLO is giving away:
- A free UNIQLO knot bag filled with goodies for the first 300 people in line, each day
- A free travel case with any purchase for the first 300 customers each day
- A free breakfast treat from Takahachi Bakery for the first 300 customers each day
- A free Lady M gift card for UNIQLO app members for the first 50 people, no purchase required
If you can show up a bit early, you could walk away with a full tote of freebies, breakfast, and a gift card before you’ve even started shopping.
UTme!: A Fun Activity for Kids (and Adults)
One of the cool features of this location is UTme!, UNIQLO’s in-store print-on-demand service. You can pick a T-shirt or tote bag, design it yourself using their tools, and it gets printed while you wait, so you walk out with something one-of-a-kind. This location features MTA-themed subway designs for UTme!, so it’s a fun souvenir-making stop for kids.
Bring Old Clothes
If you’ve got a closet full of UNIQLO pieces that are worn out, too small, or you’re just not wearing anymore, this store has a RE.UNIQLO Studio, where they’ll do basic repairs like stitching or button replacement for $5, or add custom embroidery to a favorite piece starting at $10.
