Five people, including three juveniles, were charged with attempted murder after an 18-year-old was shot in the leg during an altercation in Bayonne, authorities said.
Bayonne police responded to West 23rd Street and Church Lane around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, on a report of shots fired, according to a department release. Officers found three spent shell casings at the scene.
Shortly afterward, police learned that 18-year-old Bayonne resident Joseph Pilovsky had arrived at RWJBarnabas Health – Bayonne with a gunshot wound to the leg. Pilovsky was treated and listed in stable condition, police said.
