N.Y. weather: Travel advisory issued as NYC snow storm approaches; Staten Island may get 3 inches

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The latest forecast for Friday night’s anticipated storm calls for 1-3 inches of snow in New York City. The encroaching clipper has prompted the New York City Emergency Management department to issue a citywide travel advisory that will remain in effect from 10 p.m. Friday night through 1 p.m. Saturday.
