Introduction

I write extensively about the Amazon-owned Whole Foods grocery chain. In that spirit, now comes word that a major new location will be opening next month in Huntington Station, New York.

Let us explore.

Whole Foods, 2024

According to a June 21st report from SupermarketNews.com, the new location will host a festive grand opening celebration.

From the report: The 43,916-square-foot store at 350 Walt Whitman Road will open on July 17 and will feature more than 2,000 locally sourced products, the grocer said in a press release.

The new store will open at 8 AM and the first 300 customers will receive gifts including a Huntington Station tote bag, discount coupons, coffee from Sail Away Coffee Co. and muffins from Abe’s.

For a company perspective, per ScrapeHero.com‘s most recently updated store location count: There are 516 Whole Foods Market stores in the United States as of May 20, 2024. The state and territory with the most number of Whole Foods Market locations in the US is California, with 95 stores, which is about 18% of all Whole Foods Market stores in the US.
