UES STABBING: 1 man dead, another has ‘throughout body’ after dating app meetup, sources say

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A seriously injured man was found covered in slash wounds—along with a dead man and multiple knives—at an apartment on the Upper East Side on Sunday afternoon in what sources say was a dating app meetup gone wrong.

NYPD officers responding to a 911 call around 1:30 p.m. found the two men inside an apartment at 232 East 95 St.

One of them was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The second man, said to be 27 years old, had lacerations “throughout the body,” according to cops. He was transported by EMS to Weill Cornell Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

Two knives were recovered at the scene, the NYPD said.

Sources told 1010 WINS the pair had corresponded on a dating app and were meeting in person when the situation turned violent for some reason.

The medical examiner is working to determine the deceased man’s cause of death. He has not yet been identified.

No arrests were reported Monday as the investigation continued.
