Man breaks woman’s arm during robbery in Manhattan: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are looking for a man accused of dragging a woman and breaking her arm so he could steal her purse in Manhattan.

The 54-year-old victim was sitting at a bar on West Broadway back on Aug. 31 when the man tried to steal the purse off the chair next to her, police said.

The woman grabbed the purse and the suspect dragged her with the bag, breaking her arm, police said.

The suspect fled with $1,400 worth of her personal items, authorities said.

The woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries.

The NYPD released a surveillance image of the suspect on Thursday.
