The 37-year-old man who is suspected of randomly sucker-punching an 81-year-old woman to unconsciousness has been arrested 21 times before, including for alleged child abuse. Police say Hansel Esparragoza is the culprit who attacked an elderly woman on the Upper West Side last month. He was arraigned Friday and is being jailed on $75,000 cash bail. Three of Esparragoza’s 21 prior arrests were for acting in a way that was harmful to children under the age of one.
