For Diddy, this Christmas is going to be anything but merry. At six o’clock in the morning, he will start the day in a dormitory-style, white cinder-block detention unit in NYC, far from the Los Angeles and Miami Beach houses he called home before being charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and a string of other criminal offenses on September 16. One jail employee said, ‘Noone wants to be here, but Diddy is doing fine.’
For lunch on Christmas Day, Sean Combs will be served macaroni and cheese, Cornish hen, rolls, and cranberry sauce. For dinner that same day, he will be given a couple of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Otherwise, this holiday in jail won’t be any different from any other day at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. According to insiders, the 55-year-old Combs has been upbeat since he got arrested last fall.
Recently, People magazine sat down and asked inmates and the ones close to Diddy what he has been up to around the holiday season. They learned that he plays card games with inmates and plays basketball during recreational time. His family visits on the weekdays — either on Wednesday or Tuesday. One former inmate said, ‘He is well-liked inside prison. People get along with him.’
