Man tries to rob Midtown Citi bank with note, flees empty-handed

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man accused of attempting to rob a Midtown Citi bank with a note last month, authorities said Thursday as they released a photo of the suspect.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the man entered the Citi Bank located at 205 East 42nd St. and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

There was no money taken and the suspect fled the location empty-handed on foot northbound on Third Avenue.

There were no injuries reported.
