Teen girls wanted for attacking woman, 71, in attempted robbery at Brooklyn subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD on Friday released surveillance footage of a group of teen girls wanted for attacking a 71-year-old woman in an attempted robbery at a Brooklyn subway station on New Year’s Day.

It happened just after 6 p.m. in the vicinity of the Hoyt Street subway station in Downtown Brooklyn, authorities said.

According to police, the victim had just exited through the turnstiles when she was approached by the four teens.

Acting in concert, the girls attempted to take the woman’s bag and struck her.

After being unsuccessful in their attempts, the girls fled the subway to parts unknown.

The victim sustained minor injuries and EMS transported her to The Brooklyn Hospital Center in stable condition.
