Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Visitations at four New York state prisons will remain on hold until further notice amid investigations into possible exposures to unknown substances.
According to the New York State Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association, 11 officers, eight nurses and one civilian became ill Jan. 22 after responding to an emergency medical call for an intoxicated inmate. All staff members were taken to the hospital, and Narcan was administered to two of the nurses.
The Attica, Cape Vincent, Upstate and Wyoming state prisons have been closed to visitors as the investigations continue…
