Map shows threat of thunderstorms around NYC area this weekend

Saturday will be another First Alert Weather Day due to the threat of isolated strong-to-severe thunderstorms.

After a wet Friday, that even produced a weak tornado in far southern New Jersey, the severe threat has diminished for tonight.

In its place will be another round of fog, that could become dense at times. A stray shower or storm may also pop up. Lows will be mild and muggy, not falling out of the 60s.

Isolated storms possible Saturday

By Saturday morning, the chance of storms returns early, takes a break for the afternoon, and then returns by the evening hours.
