Amtrak cancels trains from DC to New York because of ‘equipment unavailability’

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Amtrak announced Tuesday that two trains scheduled to arrive in New York City have been canceled due to equipment unavailability.

In a post on X around 7 a.m., Amtrak said trains 112 and 131 will no longer run on Tuesday morning.

Train 112 was scheduled to depart from Union Station at 7:40 a.m., and Train 131 was set to arrive in New York at 3:49 p.m.
