NYC woman, 78, scammed out of $24K by 2 men posing as bank reps

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two suspects accused of posing as bank representatives and allegedly scamming a 78-year-old Bronxwoman out of thousands of dollars, authorities said Wednesday.

According to officials, on June 11, the woman received a call at around 11 a.m. from a fake bank employee who informed her that her account had been hacked.

The woman transferred $11,000 in order to fix the issue, the NYPD said…
