In a bizarre series of events reminiscent of a real-life “Catch Me If You Can” scenario, Justine Randall, an 18-year-old woman from New York City, is on the run after allegedly hijacking multiple subway trains. Authorities are now searching for her following a bench warrant issued by a Brooklyn judge after she failed to appear for her arraignment.
Randall is facing serious charges, including stealing keys to the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority), commandeering out-of-service trains in Brooklyn and Queens, and assaulting a 54-year-old transit worker during one of her escapades. According to Tramell Thompson, vice president of transit operations for the Transport Workers Union Local 100, Randall appears to show a blatant disregard for the justice system.
