Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Derik Dantzler said he was traveling east on the New York State Thruway Aug. 22 when he saw the aftermath of the tour bus crash that killed five people and injured dozens more.
“I was looking up and I saw the bus, probably maybe 20 bus lengths ahead of me, maybe, veered off a little bit to the middle median, and the bus started to kind of bounce a little bit in the grass,” he said. “It seemed like a lot of dust and dirt, and stuff flying up.”
