Half-dozen people shot, 1 stabbed after West Indian Day Parade

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — At least a half-dozen people were shot, and one man was stabbed, after the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn on Monday, according to officials and reports.

Police said there were several shootings along Eastern Parkway, including at Washington Avenue, Utica Avenue and Classon Avenue in Crown Heights.

The shootings happened between roughly 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The gunshot victims included three men and a woman. A fourth man was also stabbed.

All of those victims were expected to survive, police said. No arrests were immediately reported…
