MTA officers help deliver a baby on the Whitestone Bridge

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — You never know what you’re going to see in New York City, not even while you’re driving over a bridge on a Monday.

A baby girl was born on the Whitestone Bridge on Monday, with assistance from MTAPD Highway officers, according to an MTA social media post.

At around 4 p.m., the husband of a woman in labor flagged down Sgt. Joseph Casale and Officer Eric Li for help. They assisted the woman in delivering a healthy baby.

The woman and her child were taken to a local hospital by FDNY EMS, where the officers who helped out visited the family afterward…
