NYPD fatally shoots armed man during foot chase in Brooklyn: sources

NYPD officers fatally shot an armed man after a brief foot chase in Brooklyn on Sunday morning, cops and sources said.

Six officers were called to East 86th Street at just after 9 a.m. on a report of a 28-year-old suspect who had violated an order of protection and encountered a man with a gun leaving the building, police said.

“When officers arrive on the scene, they encounter a subject who matched the description provided by the reporter, leaving the building. As they approached that individual, he fled,” Giordano said.
