MANHATTAN, NY – Police are searching for four individuals accused of attacking and robbing a man aboard a northbound 6 train late Monday night inside the East 51st Street and Lexington Avenue subway station.
According to the New York City Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on October 6, when a 48-year-old man was approached by the suspects while riding the train.
The group reportedly began arguing with the victim before repeatedly punching and kicking him in the face and body, leaving him disoriented. The attackers then allegedly stole $50 from the victim before fleeing the station on foot.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was treated for swelling, bruising, and minor lacerations.
