A new report from iSelect took a look at employee benefits across all 50 states. The study ranked New York #11 in the entire country for things like health insurance costs, wages, work hours, and paid time off.
Fair Pay for New Yorkers
New York’s average income is just over $78,000 a year, and the minimum wage is $16.50 per hour, which is higher than many other states. The study also found that wage equality is improving, with a wage disparity score of 77.6%, which means that most workers are earning closer to the same pay for the same kind of work.
Reasonable Work Hours
