Harlem mom fatally stabbed 20x by ‘blackout drunk’ ex-boyfriend: DA

HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) — The man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death was blackout drunk when he plunged the large knife into the Harlem mom’s body more than 20 times, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Luis Marquez, 41, allegedly stalked Carmen Lopez, 47, at a club hours before he was caught on surveillance video attacking her after she got off the third-floor elevator in her apartment building at West 129th Street just after 4 a.m. Monday, according to authorities.

The suspect allegedly pinned Lopez on the floor and repeatedly stabbed her in the stomach, throat, and chest as she screamed, “Luis, no,” prosecutors said. While the mother-of-four lay motionless on the floor, her ex-boyfriend allegedly kept plunging the knife into her bloody body.

The knife punctured Lopez’s aorta and liver, and she died shortly after she was rushed to the hospital…
