NYPD officer who allegedly posed as ICE agent pleads not guilty

Nov. 18 (UPI) — A New York City police officer who allegedly posed illegally as an ICE officer was indicted and released on bail.

Atickul Islam, an NYPD sergeant, was arraigned Tuesday in Manhattan in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and pleaded not guilty in front U.S.; Magistrate Taryn Merkel.to one charge of impersonating a federal officer.

Islam, 29, was released on an unsecured, $25,000 recognizance bond.
