54-Year-Old Man Stabbed on Queens Subway After Accusing Attacker of Speaking Too Loudly On Phone

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK — A 54-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach aboard an E train in Queens after a confrontation with another passenger who was allegedly speaking too loudly on his phone, according to police.

Incident Details

The altercation occurred around 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, as the E train approached its final stop at the Jamaica Center–Parsons Archer subway station. Authorities said the victim asked a man seated nearby to lower his voice while talking on his cellphone.

The request quickly escalated into an argument. Witnesses told police that the suspect became enraged and punched the victim in the face several times before stabbing him in the abdomen with a blade.

Aftermath and Police Response

The attacker reportedly fled the train as it arrived at the station, leaving behind a scene of chaos and panic among passengers. Emergency medical services rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where officials said he is expected to survive.

Police have not yet identified or arrested the suspect, and an active investigation remains underway.
