After several days of reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses, investigators identified one adult and two juvenile suspects, Capt. Dan Daly said. In the early morning hours of Friday, Jan. 9, Wayne police and multiple assisting agencies conducted searches at locations in Paterson and Winslow Township, resulting in the arrest of the three outstanding suspects, one additional arrest, and the recovery of a stolen handgun, police said.
Those arrested on the night of the incident were Ashir Walker, 18, of Paterson; Kashjeme Powell, 18, of Paterson; and a 17-year-old juvenile, police said. All three were charged with inciting a public brawl, disorderly conduct, and simple assault.
Additional arrests announced Jan. 9 included Wilhelmina Kelson, 62, of Paterson, who was charged with hindering apprehension; two 17-year-old juveniles charged with multiple offenses including riot involving a firearm, unlawful possession of a handgun, and risking widespread injury; and Kayson N. McCaskill, 18, of Paterson, who faces numerous charges including unlawful possession of a handgun, receiving stolen property, and possession of a large capacity magazine, police said…
