Calls for Minneapolis ICE agent’s arrest grow as protests break out across New York

Protesters rallying outside the World Trade Center on Thursday called for the arrest of an ICE agent who fatally shot a Minneapolis woman who was a legal observer during ICE’s raid on the city.

“Today we’re here rallying and demanding that the officer who fired the shot that killed Renee be charged,” New York Immigration Coalition President and CEO Murad Awawdeh told the Mirror US. “Today we’re here rallying and demanding that the officer who fired the shot that killed Renee be charged.”

More than 100 protesters chanted for the removal of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who at a press conference at the World Trade Center said the immigration crackdown that targeted New York City “was only the beginning.”…
