Mount Sinai fires three nurses hours before strike begins

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Mount Sinai terminated three nurses accused of “deliberately sabotaging” emergency preparedness drills leading up to the New York State Nurses Association nurses’ strike, according to hospital officials.

Mount Sinai accused the nurses of hiding supplies from agency nurses in training, including “locking critical supplies designed to care for vulnerable newborns,” according to a hospital spokesperson’s statement.

Hospital officials also claimed that the nurses lied about their involvement.
